Working Principle:

When the current is overloaded, the bimetallic strip expands due to the intense heating produced by the current flow, and the remarkable difference in expansion coefficients between the distinct metal layers results in a pronounced bending.

As the bending surpasses the threshold level, it activates the release rod, which thenunleashes the stored spring energy, effectively separating the contacts, and initiating a mechanical trip;

When the current is short circuited, a powerful magnetic force from the falling wheel is induced at the base of the electromagnetic coil, causing the armature to vigorously collide with the release rod.
