Working Principle:

When the electrical current exceeds its normal capacity, overloaded, the bimetallic strip undergoes expansion due to heating caused by the excessive flow of current, and the variation in expansion coefficients between diverse layers of metal causes bending.

As the bending reaches a critical threshold,it activates the release rod, releasing the storedspring energy, which then separates the contacts, triggering a mechanical trip of the circuit breaker;

In the event of a short circuit,a powerfulmagnetic force generated by a falling wheel at the base of the electromagnetic coilswiftly attracts the armature, causing it to strike the release rod.
